Whether you're preparing your students for a visit to the JFK Presidential Library and Museum’s special exhibit, Service and Sacrifice: World War II – A Shared Experience, or using this lesson on analyzing a “mystery artifact” as a stand alone activity, your students will learn how a coconut husk saved John F. Kennedy's Life during World War II.

The new special exhibit Service and Sacrifice: World War II - A Shared Experience offers personal glimpses of a few of the many Americans who served, including members of the Kennedy family and the stories of historically marginalized communities, including women and people of color.
