Retrospectives are ways of analyzing the present in relation to the past. Over the next several weeks, until the end of year, we want to remember, reflect, and review the impact together we have made for our community. Based upon our Jewish values, our mission is to provide services for all.
So, watch out for more JFS Retrospectives to come.

This is What Comprehensive Support Looks Like
A JFS Delaware story:
Ryan first came to JFS as a family member and young caregiver working through the decline of his elderly mother, who was experiencing a progressive disease. While his mother was declining, Ryan knew that he needed to talk to someone. Ryan’s family received support through the JFS COMPASS and Care Navigation programs. As part of COMPASS and Care Navigation, Master Level Fellows from the JFS Fellowship Program helped the family understand and know the resources that were available for his mom and the family.
After the loss of his mother, Ryan worked through his grief with a JFS licensed therapist. Dad later joined and both participated in Family Therapy. Also, as the caregiver for his wife, Dad experienced the stresses connected with the loss of a partner. While caring for his wife, Dad fell behind in mortgage payments and lacked motivation to return to work. The family was referred to the JFS Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) program and were able to reach their goals to become financially stable. Ryan is working towards finishing school while Dad has found employment.
JFS Delaware continues to respond to the increasing need for mental, physical, medical, and financial support for families living in Delaware. JFS is creating innovative ways within its programs to meet the needs of Delawareans by taking a holistic approach and treating families comprehensively. Generations within a family can seek services, and the variety of JFS staff within programs means that a family may not have to seek a portion of needed services elsewhere.
