FAMILY SERVICES FOR ALL

JFS Retrospectives

Can you believe it's already October? Neither can we. We're already in the fall season and are thinking about the year that was and what is to come.

Over the next several weeks, until the end of year, we want to remember, reflect, and review the impact we have made together for our community. Based upon our Jewish values, we continue to provide services for all.

So, watch out for more JFS Retrospectives to come.

3,000 and counting...

In 2022, JFS served approximately 3,000 individuals, including over 1,000 families and almost 700 children. We are on track in 2023 to meet these same numbers with the hope to serve even more.

Tikkun Olam

The collective obligation toward repairing the world—making it right and whole.

In 2023, TWO fellows graduated from the JFS Fellowship Program and have become licensed therapists and have chosen to remain working for JFS Delaware. In Delaware, there is only one licensed therapist to every 341 individuals seeking therapeutic support, and JFS is working towards closing that gap. 15 fellows are on course to completing approximately 3,000 hours towards licensure within the next one to two years.

Kol Yisrael Arevim Ze LaZeh

We are all responsible for one another; the inherent responsibility that each of us has to care for others.

With one in five pregnant and new moms experiencing Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs), in 2023, the Sonia Schorr Sloan Maternal Mental Health Program's (MMH) "Mom's Space" Support Group launched.

The group is a safe space for mothers to connect with other moms, share their experiences and feelings, and ask our PSI-trained clinicians questions about their pregnancy and motherhood journeys! Our clinicians educate as well as facilitate access to additional supports.

Mom's Space is for pregnant women and mothers with children up to two years of age. To date, 98 mothers have been served through the MMH program this year. Click the box below to learn more about the Sonia Schorr Sloan Maternal Mental Health Program.
