FAMILY SERVICES FOR ALL

JFS Retrospectives

Retrospectives are ways of analyzing the present in relation to the past. Over the next several weeks, until the end of year, we want to remember, reflect, and review the impact together we have made for our community. Based upon our Jewish values, our mission is to provide services for all.

So, watch out for more JFS Retrospectives to come.

WHY JFS?

Because our team is full of compassionate, empathetic, hard-working staff members dedicated to fulfilling our mission to strengthen individuals, families, and the community by providing counseling and support services.

Because our promise is to provide comprehensive support to all, regardless of religion, race, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, gender identity, ability, or special need.

Because we envision a mentally, physically, and emotionally healthy community in which each person has equal access to high-quality support and the resources they need, and we are working harder than ever to make that vision a reality.

Peter Hurd, JFS President of the Board of Directors

"Anybody that I come across that is in this area, I absolutely, 1,000% recommend your services. I've said it, and I will continue to say it, you were a lifesaver for our family."

Kara Oliver, JFS client in the COMPASS program for dementia care

"To help a refugee is to kind of humble yourself a little bit and put your feet back on the ground in terms of what is really important in the world."

Bill Epstein, JFS Volunteer

"Our staff does a really good job of making people feel welcomed and invest in what they need. And we also really listen to our clients in the community and give back to them what they need."

Marsha Akoto, JFS Therapist/Curriculum Developer
