1 Year anniversary of the March 3rd tornadoes
To mark the one year anniversary of the March 3rd tornadoes, members of the Jewish community who suffered catastrophic damage to their homes will receive this beautiful Birkat Habayit (blessing for the home).

Kaaren Hirshowitz Engel, z'l, created this beautiful piece in 2011 to give to those who suffered damage from the May 2010 flood.

Our hope is that this piece and the message the blessing conveys bring those affected joy, peace and comfort, and blesses their home many times over. Click here for a translation of the blessing Birkat Habayit, Blessing for the Home

JFS staff has been helping older adults, people with disabilities and those who are not tech-savvy register for vaccines.

Our Helping Hands volunteers made outreach to ensure that older adults in the community either had already gotten their vaccine, had an appointment or had a plan to get vaccinated.

We are keeping up to date with the
ever changing landscape and places that you can receive your vaccine, including pharmacies and stores in addition to the public health department.

If you need assistance with accessing a vaccine reach out to Anna Sir 615-354-1686
