Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean your own understanding; in all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3: 5-6

REPORT CARDS/MID YEAR CONFERENCES - Report cards are in this week's Friday Folders. Please keep in mind this is a different kind of school year and report cards may be a little different. Teachers are doing their best to share with you what has been accomplished and what still need to be practiced and worked on. Please contact the classroom teachers with your specific questions or concerns. There will be information about optional mid year conferences going home in the Friday Folders next week.

SCHOOL WEBSITE - Over break the church/school website crashed. The church website is back up and running but there are complications with the school site. Here is a link to the church website. A JI tab has been created as a temporary option for online information. We (church/school) will be going a different direction with our website, but there is no timeline for that transition. So for now, please share this link with those who may be seeking online information about JI.

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK - We will kick off Catholic Schools Week on Sunday with Mass at 10:00 AM. We will not be having a book fair or our usual breakfast on this day. But there will be an option to pick up a small to-go breakfast after Mass. See below for the schedule for the week with the special dress up days.

CSW FAMILY PROJECT - THANK YOU!! These are/will be hanging in the school entrance. It is not too late to complete and turn them in to the school office. Here is a link to the letter.

LUCK OF THE IRISH TICKETS - There were two sets of tickets in an envelope that was sent home on Tuesday. One set is yellow and these are dinner tickets for the curbside pick up meal. The other set is green and these are raffle tickets for a drawing for cash prizes. If you sell tickets, please put your family name on the back of the portion of the ticket to return to school and attach the money for tickets. Please return these as you sell them. All tickets sold and unsold need to be returned to school by Friday, March 19th.

FUNDRAISING STATEMENTS - These are in this week's Friday Folders. They include Marathon, Scrip rebates, and any donations to your family's account. We realize and understand for some of our families fundraising can be a challenge during a regular school year and especially during the pandemic. If you are able to step it up and over-fundraise this is awesome and helps other families who may be struggling to meet their fundraising obligation. ALL fundraising supports JI and helps keep tuition down and helps get teacher's salaries to a more just wage. Whatever your situation is like at this time, please do the best you can.

POSSIBLE JI EXPANSION - Over the years there has been much discussion about expanding John Ireland School to grades 7-8. With the recent pandemic we have realized this may be easier to implement than previous years. We have learned instruction can come in different formats especially for middle schoolers. In person instruction is best for most students, but there are many digital and virtual resources available to enhance a middle school program in a small school setting. My first step is to gain a sense of the level of interest and this will determine the next steps if any. Please complete this short survey at your earliest convenience. This is just a means of gathering information and not a commitment of any sort. Thank you for your time and feedback!

Blessings to you!
