DANJO JAZZ ORCHESTRA

With a unique blend of big band classics and dazzling original arrangements, the 17-piece Danjo Jazz Orchestra has entertained audiences across Northeast Ohio for over 10 years.
Originally founded by bassist Dan Angotti in May of 2010, the band is now directed by Cleveland native trombonist, composer, and arranger Andrew Wegierski. Under Andrew’s leadership, the Danjo Jazz Orchestra has held a monthly residency at Jilly’s Music Room, one of the top live music venues in Akron, since August 2019*.
The band also frequently performs in downtown Kent, namely at the Venice Cafe, Water Street Tavern, and at the Home Heritage Concert Series.

THE DELTA HAND
| | The Delta Hand is a northeastern Ohio electric blues ensemble known for their rockin’ performances, warm dynamics, and soul-soothing grooves. Formed in 2023, the six-piece ensemble originated when Steve Brooks (guitar/vocals), Adam Labin (guitar), and Paul Labin (drums/vocals) began attending an Akron-based blues jam. Bill Hodge (bass) and Kaiden Bos, “The Prodigy” (sax), were discovered through this weekly jam, the undeniable synergy led to regular rehearsals, and The Delta Hand realized. Roger Szabo (keys) later joined, adding incredible “take me to church” B3 sounds. Blending classic and contemporary electric blues into a captivating and unique sound, The Delta Hand offers a one-stop shop for all your soul-soothing and healing needs. | | |

MODERN JAZZ BRUNCH with EMP

EMP is a modern jazz group that plays a mix of traditional jazz standards, arrangements of modern popular music (The Beatles, Radiohead, Joni Mitchell, Nirvana, etc.), and many originals. EMP currently has one live album out with another slated to release in November. Venues performed at include, but are not limited to, The Bop Stop (Cleveland), Blu Jazz (Akron), Vanni’s Jazz Lounge (Rochester), Merriman’s Playhouse (South Bend), Black Swamp Arts Festival (Bowling Green), Arlyn’s Good Beer (Bowling Green), and many more. We have also had two residencies, one at Cedar Point (Sandusky) and one at The Heights (Toledo). We also received the Best Jazz award in the 2026 Cleveland Music Awards, which recognizes and honors top musical talent in the greater Cleveland area.
We will be serving brunch from our regular brunch menu. Doors open at 11A. Music begins at Noon.

Jilly’s launched OPEN STAGES in 2026 to support and promote the local music scene by providing a platform for artists to showcase their skills and work on material.
We’re opening our stage on (most) Wednesday nights to artists and bands who want to hone their craft on stage in front of an audience; work on stage presence and banter, try out new material, have a live practice, work through sets before a tour or really big gig, make connections. All styles, genres and levels welcome. Unlike an open mic, JILLY’S OPEN STAGES is more like a gig. We’re offering venue support. Click that button to the right to learn more.
