JILLY'S OPEN STAGES featuring
| | |
The music, art, and business of Rock and Roll is defined by its ephemeral nature of latest trends, fashion, and sounds. One approach is to ride the current wave and attempt to capture lightning in a bottle. Another comes from the passion of creating music with these influences through perseverance, tenacity, and commitment to your craft.
Magic Alex have displayed their dedication and endurance by releasing and performing music every decade since the 90’s, releasing three EP’s on cassette and one on CD in their early career, and a full-length album Trip the Cat in 2016. The power trio line up of Bob Beck, guitars/vocals, Rick LeBlanc, drums, and newest member Shane Beck, bass (and Bob’s son), released their next album It’s All Fine in 2021, expanding on their 70’s classic rock sound. After the release of two singles in 2023, which both charted on the World Indie Music Charts Top 100, Magic Alex welcomed Kristin LeFever, piano/vocals (and Bob’s daughter) and Meriki Mazur, vocals (and Bob’s granddaughter) adding a unique family dynamic to the band.
This new musical direction can be heard on their latest album, Light of a Million Suns, which will be released on vinyl and CD in January of 2026.

LONG TALL DEB & COLIN JOHN
featuring CHRIS BUTLER & JASON EDWARDS
| | |
Long Tall Deb & Colin John bring their electrifying blend of blues, soul, and roots music to Jilly’s Music Room on Saturday, May 2, joined by an all-star rhythm section featuring Waitresses founder Chris Butler on bass and drummer Jason Edwards.
Deb’s powerhouse, soulful vocals pair seamlessly with Colin John’s expressive, genre-bending guitar work, delivering performances that are deeply felt, dynamic, and groove-driven.
With Butler's melodic, rock-solid bass lines and Edwards’ tasteful, propulsive drumming, the band creates a rich, live energy that honors blues tradition while pushing it forward—equal parts raw emotion, musical finesse, and joyful soul.

$10 SHOW ONLY / $35 SHOW & UNLIMITED BUFFET BRUNCH
| | FOUR GOOD REASONS TO BUY TICKETS IN ADVANCE | |
#1
Advance sales are how we know how to staff the bar and the door and prep and everything else.
Every good night you've had here was staffed by someone who knew you were coming.
| | |
#2
Advance tickets are cheaper than Day of Show (DOS) tickets
That extra money stays with you!
#3
The show you are looking forward to may be cancelled.
Many events are cancelling because of low advance ticket sales. The bands and venue assume demand isn't there for the show. The "night of" crowd doesn't show up on the spreadsheet they are looking at.
#4
Because it makes everyone happy!
We're all prepared and have something to look forward to!

| | LIKE AN OPEN MIC, BUT MORE LIKE A GIG | | |
Jilly’s launched OPEN STAGES in 2026 to support and promote the local music scene by providing a platform for artists to showcase their skills and work on material.
We’re opening our stage on (most) Wednesday nights to artists and bands who want to hone their craft on stage in front of an audience; work on stage presence and banter, try out new material, have a live practice, work through sets before a tour or really big gig, make connections. All styles, genres and levels welcome. Unlike an open mic, JILLY’S OPEN STAGES is more like a gig. We’re offering venue support. Click that button to the right to learn more.
