Ryann was born and raised on Long Island, NY, where she trained at SPORTIME from the age of 5 through her college years. As a junior, Ryann was ranked in the top 15 nationally and #1 in the Eastern section in every age division, winning two New York State championships. She went on to play Division I tennis at Wake Forest University, captaining the team for 2 years. Ryann won over 100 matches during her college career, and was a four-year member of the All-ACC Academic team. Since graduating in 2012 with a BA in Psychology, Ryann has had several high level business operations and development positions in the sports, digital media, and tech industries. She joined the SPORTIME/JMTA Team as Media Director in 2021 and is excited to have been chosen, after a thorough search, as the new Executive Director of JMTP.
A word from Ryann:
I am thrilled and humbled to be taking on the role of Executive Director at JMTP. I know that the more I learn and the more ingrained I become in the organization, the more energized I will be and the harder I will work to fulfill our mission.
My personal story connects me to each JMTP success story, in that my tennis opportunities shaped my life in a way that is difficult to fully express, and Sportime was a big part of those opportunities for me. I bring a deep understanding of what it means to bring tennis into a child's life to my work at JMTP. As I envision the future of JMTP, and how we can expand our mission to bring tennis to NYC kids, I do so from this perspective and with unlimited hope for future work and success.
