Lt. Mark Wynn worked in the Technical Services Bureau as a Crime Scene Investigator for four years and one year as a Sergeant supervisor. Wynn was assigned to the department’s Murder Squad/Homicide unit for three years. Additionally, he worked in the Domestic Violence Division as a Sergeant and Lieutenant for six years supervising 20 Detectives processing 23,000 incidents of violent crimes per year including homicides.
Lt. Wynn taught crime scene response and domestic violence investigations for 10 years to recruits and in-service classes at the Nashville Metropolitan Police Academy. He has taught Domestic Violence intervention and Response to DV Homicides to Officers statewide at the Tennessee Law Enforcement Academy for 30 years. He co-wrote the states certified training curriculum - Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Interdiction and Investigation. This training curriculum is taught in all seven of the regional academies across the state of Tennessee.
