JOIN US FOR OUR NEXT GENERAL MEETING ON

JULY 25th AT 6:30 P.M.

Dear Dana Point Boaters,

Why is it that when you are a boater a lot of things you do bring back fond memories of places you have been boating? Ten or so years ago a group of friends and I (Anne Eubanks) buddy-boated to Catalina during the Jazz Festival. We had tickets to see Peter White playing unplugged under the stars at Descanso Beach. What a magical evening, but it was chilly, chilly! Fast forward to last weekend and I enjoyed a spectacular performance by Peter White, Mindi Abair, and Vincent Ingala under the stars at Thornton Winery in Temecula. It was not chilly, chilly! During that evening I realized I was completely out of thought mesmerized by the music, just like being out of thought and mesmerized by the ocean when sailing. For true boaters, like those in Dana Point, boating is part of our life, as integral as family and friends. Which is why we are still advocating on your behalf, Dana Point Boaters. Do not think we have given up. We still have cards to play.

Please attend our General Meeting on July 25th at 6:30 p.m. (click here). The topics we will discuss include:

  • Information gleaned at a meeting we recently had with the California Coastal Commission – very enlightening to say the least.

  • An update on our legal endeavors.

  • RBOC’s efforts on behalf of boaters regarding increases in boater registration fees.

  • A new boating app to assist with your float plan.

  • A Question & Answer session

  • Pre-submit your questions in advance and ask during the live event.

We THANK all of you for your overwhelming generosity of financial contributions over the past two years. We needed it and you stepped up. You never failed us! For that we are very grateful. We do still need your support for a bit longer, both financially, and by continuing to voice your concerns with our public officials.

Please continue to send your questions and concerns to Supervisor Foley (click here), and to the Dana Point City Council (click here).  Both the Orange County Board of Supervisors and the City of Dana Point have oversight responsibilities for the revitalization project.   Also, let the CA Coastal Commission hear your concerns (click here). They need to know that things in Dana Point regarding the harbor revitalization are not peachy.

To make a financial contribution (click here). A hundred thousand blessings to all our dear Dana Point boaters. For those of you versed In Gaelic, the Irish would say” Céad Mile Fáilte”.
