VIRTUAL TREE & WREATH CONTEST
It wasn't our first choice,
but it's the safest choice.
We will be hosting the postponed 2020 Tree & Wreath Contest virtually. By registering for the winter meeting webinar you will receive two votes in the contest. If you wish to vote in person, you may do so by visiting the Avery County Cooperative Extension Center on March 4th between 9:00am-5:00pm.
TO ENTER THE CONTEST:
  1. You must complete and submit the paper entry form by no later than February 19th.
  2. All contest entries must be delivered to the Avery County Cooperative Extension Center in Newland between 8:00am-12:00pm on Monday, March 1. *Any entries received after 12pm will not be eligible for judging.
  3. Judging will take place the afternoon of Monday, February 1st.
  4. A professional videographer will be present on February 2 to make a video of all entry finalists that will be made available for final voting on Thursday, March 4th.
  5. Winners will be announced through an email blast on Monday, March 8th.
HOW VOTING WILL WORK:
  1. The only way to be able to vote is to register for the winter meeting webinar.
  2. On the morning of March 4, all meeting registrants will receive an email with a link to access a video of each contest finalist.
  3. You will then vote for your favorite in each category through a multiple choice survey.
  4. Virtual/online voting will be open from 8:00am-11:45pm on Thursday, March 4th. Online voting will close promptly at 11:45pm.
  5. On-site voting will take place on Thursday, March 4th between 9:00am-5:00pm at the Avery County Cooperative Extension Center.
  6. Winners will be announced through an email blast on Monday, March 8th.
