MIDDLE SCHOOL
Top Knights
The Knight character trait this month is SERVICE! Service is something that JPII students know a lot about. We learn everyday about how Jesus served others and what we can do as Christians to do the same. Jesus washed feet, helped the sick, and fed the hungry. This coming week our middle school students are collecting cereal boxes as our yearly service project to help feed those in need. The cereal boxes will be going to local food pantries in our community. Our goal is for middle school to collect 200 boxes! These boxes will be displayed in the gym, and next week we will make a domino train design with the boxes collected by our middle school students.
Brendan (6) -
Brendan was nominated this month by one of his peers. This person approached Mrs. Lasher and asked if they could nominate someone in their class. When asked why they were choosing this person, and they said because Brendan is always someone that others can count on. Whenever someone in their 6th grade class needs help, guidance, etc. they go to Brendan. There is no higher compliment than being someone that others can trust and depend on. Serving and helping others because it’s the right thing to do is a very selfless act. Great, great job Brendan!
Matthew (7) -
Matthew was nominated by several teachers for his great effort on the Academic Olympic team. He worked hard during the after school practices and during the actual event. Matthew is very knowledgeable and helped his team place 2nd in the competition against other Deanery schools. Congratulations Matthew!
Charlotte (8) -
Charlotte was nominated this month for several reasons. One also being the Academic Olympics team. Charlotte worked hard during the practices and at the competition. Charlotte is also being recognized because she always goes above and beyond! She scores really high on tests, studies and completes her work, and is overall a very caring person. Charlotte fits in with any group and makes others feel welcomed. Charlotte is attending Providence next year and they are very lucky to have her!
