On August 13, JPS team members participated in Commissioner Roy C. Brooks 7th Annual Healthy Lives Matter Alzheimer's Education Seminar.

Along with the JPS Health Network Board of Managers and Tarrant County Commissioners Court, JPS is currently developing plans to greatly expand our ability to care for the people of Tarrant County. This 10-year Bond Program will expand the services at the JPS Main Campus and its ambulatory network in Tarrant County.

National Hispanic Heritage Month traditionally honors the culture and contributions of both Latino and Hispanic Americans. The history and accomplishments of these groups in the shaping of the country are celebrated.
The month is celebrated in a plethora of ways. As several other celebratory holidays fall during this month — such as the independence days of several Latin American countries — concerts, parades, food fairs, and more are organized throughout. Educational events like art exhibitions take place as well, highlighting important Latino heroes in history.

Harambee means "all pull together" in Swahili, thus the Annual Tarrant County Harambee Festival pulls the citizens of North Texas together for a fun-filled day of food, fun, music, and health and cultural awareness in celebration of our shared history. Traditionally held every first Saturday in October, the festival is free to the public and is preluded by its Annual Seafood, Chicken, and Blues Festival on the preceding Friday night. The festival attracts 5,000+ attendees during the two-day event. | |

Join us on Saturday, September 24th for our incredible Recovery in the Park Rally celebration. This year it is going to be bigger and better than ever! This is a great free family-friendly event that shows us that recovery can be fun. Join us and bring a friend.
This FREE event will include food, entertainment, giveaways, speakers, and other activities including balloon animals, face painting, arts and crafts, DJ, live band, giveaways, and resources.
Each sponsor will receive an opportunity to promote your organization by presenting a brief overview from the stage throughout the day.

Identifying the Symptoms of Monkeypox | |

According to the CDC, people with Monkeypox get a rash that may be located on or near the genitals (penis, testicles, labia, and vagina) or anus (butthole) and could be on other areas like the hands, feet, chest, face, or mouth.
The rash will go through several stages, including scabs, before healing.
The rash can initially look like pimples or blisters and may be painful or itchy.

Hispanic Wellness Coalition
Hispanic Wellness Coalition is a non-profit entity whose mission is to serve and promote health and wellness in diverse communities through education, advocacy and access in North Texas. The Hispanic Wellness Coalition provides opportunities for access to health care and information through the annual North Texas Wellness Fair and other programs designed to increase awareness of all forms of healthcare and healthy living opportunities available while building relationships with health practitioners and wellness providers.
