Meet Xavier Sanders of BarbaraCares

The BarbaraCares Foundation provides social supportive services for both breast cancer patients and caregivers throughout the state of Texas. Through educational seminars, community health fairs, risk assessments, and expanded access to free mammography screenings, BarbaraCares seeks to address late-stage breast cancer diagnoses and mortality rates in communities underserved and at-risk, while also advocating for continued health, wellness, and support for those in active treatment. Led by Xavier Sanders, whose life was personally impacted after the passing of his mother, Barbara, due to a late-stage breast cancer diagnosis. Xavier's mission is to do everything possible to ensure others have a fighting chance against breast cancer. In the words of his mother, the focus daily is to encourage others to "Fight, Smile, And Fight Some More!"
