World Breastfeeding Week at JPS
World Breastfeeding Week is held every year to celebrate, promote, and support breastfeeding around the world. It’s a time to share information, encourage parents, and highlight the many health benefits breastfeeding provides for both babies and mothers.
At JPS, we join in this celebration by offering education, resources, and a breastfeeding-friendly environment. Families can get help from our lactation support team while they are in the hospital and after they go home. We want parents to feel ready, confident, and supported as they welcome their new baby. Our goal is to make sure every child born at JPS has the best possible start in life.

The JPS outreach team recently joined forces with the Cook Children’s Save a Smile Program to help families understand the vital connection between primary care and oral health. Together, we’re sharing tips, resources, and education that support healthy smiles and healthier lives.
We’re also partnering with Bravo Dental, a trusted DFW provider known for high-quality care, innovation, and a strong commitment to community health. This partnership gives JPS patients access to a wider range of dental treatments and long-term oral health resources.

Connecting with the community we serve is one way we fulfill the JPS mission of transforming healthcare delivery for the communities we serve. JPS participated in several back-to-school events across Tarrant County providing resources and education to families heading back to school. These back-to-school events provide more convenient times for families to receive vaccines and education on JPS programs and services. Our goal at JPS is to equip families with what they need to have a happy and healthy school year.

Now Open: Las Vegas Trail Health Center
JPS Health Network, in partnership with Cook Children’s Health Care System, the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, LVTRise, and WestAid Food Pantry, has opened a new 40,000-square-foot health center in the Las Vegas Trail neighborhood. The center offers family medicine, women’s health, behavioral health, pediatric care, a food pantry, a demonstration kitchen, workforce training, and more—bringing comprehensive health and wellness services to the community for the first time in 30 years.
