| | Community Outreach Updates | | Shaping the Future of Healthcare: The Impact of Community Health Workers | | JPS Community Health Workers (CHWs) support people in the community by helping them find the care and resources they need. They are trusted helpers who connect patients and families to important services, like food, housing, and healthcare programs. CHWs also teach people about staying healthy, eating well, and taking care of themselves. By working with doctors, nurses, and community groups, they make it easier for people to get care and live healthier lives. Their work doesn’t just help one person—it makes the whole community stronger and healthier in Tarrant County. | | Master Facility Plan Update | |
Master Facility Plan Update: A New Era in Behavioral Health Care coming soon
As part of our ongoing Master Facility Plan, the new Psychiatric Emergency Center (PEC) is nearing completion and is slated to open this summer. Designed with healing, safety, and comfort in mind, the PEC will provide a calming environment for patients in crisis. The space incorporates soft, natural tones, open layouts, and soothing lighting to reduce stress and promote a sense of well-being. Every design element—from the curved ceilings to the thoughtfully arranged patient areas—has been intentionally crafted to foster a secure, therapeutic atmosphere.
This milestone represents JPS Health Network’s commitment to advancing behavioral health care and ensuring that Tarrant County residents have access to compassionate, high-quality emergency psychiatric services. Learn more at www.YestoJPS.org.
