Community Food Bank of Fort Worth
Community Food Bank is one of the leading hunger service agencies in North Texas serving the community in a double role. As a food pantry, Community Food Bank provides free food boxes directly to those in need; as a food bank, surplus is freely given to other smaller nonprofit food pantries. Community Food Bank is the only nonprofit agency in North Texas to fill both roles with no zip code restrictions. Services are offered to families with children, single head of households, seniors, veterans, those experiencing homelessness, the working poor, and other nonprofits serving all of the above. Community Food Bank directly distributes food to 600 families per day on average. Good nutrition is emphasized by providing fruits, vegetables, frozen meat, poultry, fish, dairy, and fresh produce.
