Bond Work Completed at Green Elementary & Jim Hill High
Jackson Public Schools has recently completed the construction of a new parking lot at Green Elementary School and parking lot improvements at Jim Hill High School as part of the 2018 JPS Bond Construction Program. The parking lot work completed at Green Elementary involved converting an unused basketball court to a 27-space parking lot. The work at Jim Hill involved repairing potholes in areas with significant damage. Phase II of parking lot improvements at Jim Hill will be completed Summer 2020. Both projects were completed by R & L Unlimited, Inc. in August 2019.
Additional Completed Bond Projects
WILKINS ELEMENTARY REPAIRS

At Wilkins Elementary, concrete repairs were made at the front entrance of the school to meet requirements of the Mississippi Department of Education's Corrective Action Plan. A handicap ramp was also repaired. The work was performed by Heritage Nursing and Landscape.

HIGH SCHOOL SCIENCE LABS

Science labs were decommissioned at four high schools—Callaway, Forest Hill, Provine, and Wingfield. The work was done to complete requirements of the Corrective Action Plan. Advance Environmental Consultants completed the projects.
BOND OVERSIGHT MEETINGS

The next Bond Oversight meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 22 in the School Board meeting room located at 621 S. State Street.

Bond Oversight meetings are open to the public.
