A Word from the CEO
Shavuot celebrates the end of the counting of the Omer, the giving of the Torah and the spring harvest. Among Shavuot's lessons are the importance of paying regular attention to long-term goals (the harvest) and patience (counting of the Omer).
Planning for retirement demands both of these virtues. It requires sustained contributions over an extended period of time and the patience to allow your investments to grow.
This issue of the
JRB Financial Pulse
looks at both of these ideas. To get the most from your investment harvest, we explain the concept of market capitalization -- the difference between large-, mid- and small-cap companies. For those counting the days to retirement, we offer general guidelines on how to structure your withdrawals to minimize taxes.
