A Global Partnership Initiative of the Jesuit Schools Network
Dear Global Companions:

As we move forward into the season of our academic year that provides time for reflection and renewal, the JSN is pleased to share our plans to further embrace our call to reconciliation and global citizenship.

On August 1, we will welcome Catharine Steffens to our team, in the new, dedicated position of Director of Global Partnerships. Her work will focus on connecting educators and students in our network with their counterparts across the world. Her appointment and the capacity she brings to the position represent an important and increased investment in global partnerships.

You will be reading more from us in August, with Catharine at the pen. In the meantime, I invite you to explore the initiatives below from our partners.

And have a great summer!
Ite, inflammate omnia.

World Refugee Day - June 20
The Jesuit Refugee Service, the Jesuit Conference and the Ignatian Solidarity Network are all providing opportunities to engage with World Refugee Day on June 20.

Jesuit Refugee Service
Gonzaga College High School held its fifth Ignatian Heritage Day, an annual celebration of the school’s Jesuit identity and mission.

This year’s event was dedicated to the global refugee crisis, and included an interactive simulation called “Walk a Mile in Our Shoes.” Created by the Jesuit Refugee Service, the exhibit set out to show Gonzaga students what life would be like as a refugee.
