De Smet Jesuit Interactive Art Show Invites Connection Via QR Codes
Smart phones, art shows, and teenage boys don’t often mix, but this year’s interactive event at De Smet Jesuit requires all three.
Centering on the theme, “Appreciate art. Look up,” the Annual Student Art Show invites viewers to connect with artworks on display and scan QR codes that link them to a variety of prompts. Participants might watch a 15-second time lapse video of an artist at work or listen to an audio recording from Fr. Burshek, S.J. A quick question or agree/disagree response enters them into a chance to win prizes, but more importantly takes them one step farther down a path to appreciate and engage with art.
