Volunteer Updates & Opportunities

Spring Up to Help!

Spring officially starts March 20, which feels like a good time for things to start growing again, including community. At JUC, justice isn’t just something we talk about on Sundays. It shows up in how we take care of each other and help create a welcoming space for everyone. Volunteering is one of the easiest ways to put those values into action. Whether it’s greeting folks, helping with coffee, or pitching in at an event, every little bit helps. Plus, it’s a great way to meet people and feel more connected. Think of it as justice… but with snacks and name tags.

Our annual dance is upon us and we're gonna making this epic event come together. Help us decorate, setup, put out food and make the night the best for everyone!

Community Opportunities to Help:

This is part of pastoral care where individuals sign up to be notified if there's a need in our community. Volunteers only offer their help when they can do so. There is no permanent obligation to do anything but the opportunity to be notified if there is a need.

On April 18 we will have the Ordination of Michael DeSantis here at our church. With that comes a need for folx to hand out programs, greet those coming in and help with food. Please Sign-up to make this experience a great one!

It's that time again: Family Promise!

As a reminder, you will click the link and on the top of the page are tabs for all the volunteer needs. So if you aren't into making meals but you can drive, or you want to help with set-up or overnights, just check out those tabs. If you have any questions let me know!

The Harvest Table is powered by a small group of dedicated folks, many in their 70s, who do a lot to keep it going. Equity reminds us that the work shouldn’t fall on the same shoulders every week. If you’re able, signing up is a simple way to share the load and support the people who support all of us. Harvest Table
