Teen S’mores Social

4th/5th OWL (Our Whole Lives)
Classes begin Sunday, January 5, 9 am. Sign up by Thursday, December 20. In Our Whole Lives: Sexuality Education for Grades 4-5, children learn about the changes of puberty while discussing respect and relationships. Parents and caregivers learn how to be actively involved in exploring growing older, values, communication, and decision-making. Classes are held Sundays, January 5 - March 16 from 9 to 10:30 am. Priority will be given to 5th graders. For your child to participate, parents and children must attend class together on Sunday, January 5, from 9 to 11 am. You must register in advance.

Going Deeper Groups
...are taking new participants! Sign up by December 20! Embark on a journey of spiritual deepening and authentic connection in our Going Deeper Groups! Join a small group of 8-10 individuals to explore UU values through shared reflection, wholehearted, compassionate listening and spiritual practice. Meet twice a month for 90 minutes from January 2024 to May 2025. This is your chance to experience the richness of our faith by exploring and making meaning together - don't miss out.
Christmas Eve Pageant Actors NEEDED!
We need our children to help bring the Christmas story to life! If you have a young one in your life who has dreamed of playing a sheep, star, wise person, innkeeper, and more, please sign up. Actors are needed for the 1 pm Service ONLY. Pageant rehearsals will be held Sundays, December 15 and December 22 between services.

UUA Common Read: Authentic Selves
Look forward to this workshop led by Intern Minister Michael DeSantis! The 2024-2025 UU Common Read (available at the UUA online store) is Authentic Selves: Celebrating Trans and Nonbinary People and Their Families, by Peggy Gillespie. This is a beautiful compilation of life stories of trans and nonbinary people, as well as their partners, parents, children, siblings, and chosen family members. Get the book and read it by January 23. If cost is a barrier, please email Michael. There will be a two-part discussion on Thursdays, January 23 and 30 (6:30 - 8:30 pm) and one moreon Tuesday, February 4 open to parents and caregivers of children and youth.

Alabama Living Legacy Pilgrimage

February 25 - March 1 // 5 days and 4 nights // On this Pilgrimage from the Living Legacy Project, you'll visit historic sites in Birmingham, Montgomery, and Selma, Alabama, and meet unsung heroes and foot soldiers of the Civil Rights Movement. As a life-long learning experience, we’ll reflect on what we learn together so when we return home, we can apply what it to make a difference in today's world. Get more information or register.
Safe Parking Golden United Methodist Church

Golden United Methodist Church sponsors a “Safe Parking” lot at their location in Golden. Persons with vehicles but without shelter are vetted and given parking permission in the church parking lot. The church provides restrooms, showers in summer, and hot meals. They also connect participants with resources. Please consider your support. Contact Allison Windes with questions.
