Summer at JUC- ONE Service on Sundays!

Starting on Sunday, May 25, there will only be one (1) service at JUC on Sundays, beginning at 10 am.

Filling Our Cup | It's not too late!

The Board of Trustees held a pledge increase campaign during the month of April. The goal was to get 200 increases during this month to help fill a budget deficit. We are currently at 163 increases/new pledges. Will you help us reach the goal? New pledges count too! If you don't have a pledge yet, this is a great time to set one up.

The Power of Our Name - Community Conversations

This is our last community conversation, an opportunity for all voices to talk through questions or concerns, before we vote later this month. Groups are facilitated by a member of the Board of Trustees and a member of the Shared Mission Team.

Yeehaw! Grab that western wear in the back of your closet and learn yourself some good ol' country western line dancin'! A group of fun-lovin' JUC womenfolk has hired Deda Nelson's favorite line dancin' teacher to show us the boot scootin' dance floor ropes. We'll congregate for dancin', cavortin' and munchin'. All ages welcome. Kids under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult. Drinks and snacks provided.

Spring Congregational Meeting

Sunday, May 18 | 12:30 pm

The 2025 Spring Congregational Meeting will include introductions to the slate of leaders to be elected by the congregation, updates on the progress we have made towards our income improvement plan and the 25/26 budget to be approved, a review on the learnings, successes and challenges experienced through The Power of Our Name, and invitation for members to vote on whether we move forward with choosing a new name for our church. Voting will be open from Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 2 pm through Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at midnight. Childcare provided.

Join us for archery, fishing, dinner, campfire, s’mores, and a singalong to celebrate a wonderful year of Nature’s Keepers! Meet at Bear Creek Lake Park, Campsite #11 (our home base for the day). Come for whatever part works for you! Cost: $10 per car park entrance fee at the gate.

Cook Team Opportunity for Home In Golden

Tentative Planning Meeting: Sunday, June 1, after 10 am service

Home in Golden is a Safe Parking Lot started in 2020 by First United Methodist Church in Golden. (Safe Parking provides safe places for individuals who are maintaining shelter within their vehicle). We have the opportunity to form a cook team to plan, prepare, and serve a Sunday meal. The obligation is once a month, serving about 15 people at Home In Golden. Spiritual Practice Series: Lectio Divina

JUCers are invited to learn, or engage deeper with, the spiritual practice of Lectio Divina. Led by Senior Minister, Rev. Wendy, Lectio Divina is a great tool for deepening through reflecting on a particular text (of your choosing).

Queer Connections Group

2nd Mondays | 7 pm | Next meeting: May 12

This is a compassionate safe space dedicated to adults (18+) of the LGBTQIA+ community. It's a time to socialize, give input on future events, share stories, support each other's voices, approach spirituality from a queer lens, discuss current social and political issues affecting our community, and collaborate on ways to lift up queer folks, young and old. Yoga As You Are

Tai Chi Contemplatives

Delegates Needed for General Assembly

June 18 - 22 | Baltimore, MD

Jefferson Unitarian Church is a member congregation of the Unitarian Universalist Association and eligible to assign up to 13 delegates to the annual national assembly, June 18-22, 2025 in Baltimore. Any JUC member in good standing is eligible to serve as a delegate either in person or remotely.

CUUC Fundraising Concert: The Light We Bring

Please join us for a magical evening of music and community at Columbine Unitarian Universalist Church. Our talented staff will share their gifts as a love letter to our church and our Unitarian Universalist values. Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served for donation.

Lay Ministry Training with Rev. Cindy Pincus

July - September | Zoom Info Session: June 8, 4 - 5 pm

Volunteers will be working with about 200 elders at Mountain Vista Senior Living. The program is appropriate for folks aged 16 and up. Robust onboarding and ongoing monthly trainings (hospice, social services, dementia/alzheimers, etc.) will be provided. Volunteers will have a chance to give direct care ministry to residents, participate in group spiritual activities like Bible Study and Worship, and receive one-on-one mentorship Rev. Pincus. At the end of the program, volunteers will have the opportunity to continue volunteering. Use this link for the info session on Sunday, June 8 at 4 pm.
