There's Strength in Sisterhood!

President’s Message

Dear Sisterhood,

As I conclude the first year of my two-year term as President, I find myself reflecting on what an extraordinary year it has been. I am so proud of all that we have accomplished together.

Our year was filled with fun, meaningful, educational, and inspiring programs. From social gatherings and learning opportunities to service projects and worship, we truly made a difference—and this coming year promises even more.

Our membership continued to grow, and we are so grateful to welcome new women into our Sisterhood.

Our Hineinu knitters lovingly created prayer shawls for those who were ill or injured. In fact, I was blessed to receive one myself, something I will always treasure.

Our Social Action Committee focuses on women related needs and brought comfort and support to Peace House and the NICU at Primary Children's Hospital through donations and acts of kindness. We supplied pajamas and filled backpacks for the start of the school year where there was a need we responded, many thanks to Dana Ehrlich for spear-heading this work.

We sponsored Onegs, led beautiful Shabbat services, built friendships, strengthened our Temple community, and made a lasting impact.

None of this would have been possible without an extraordinary Board. Their creativity, dedication, encouragement, and unwavering support made every success possible. I am deeply grateful to each of them. I am forever grateful to:

I would also like to take a moment to thank our beloved THS Rabbi-Rabbi Jeff for his support. We thank and appreciate our extraordinary staff, Deb, Lynne, Drew and Josh, who help make our events seamless as well as providing us with the means to get things done within the Temple structure. Thank you to Wayne Crouch for providing us with your book-keeping prowess. And thank you to Michael Greenfield for utilizing us! We love helping you and the kids! Finally, thank you to the THS Board, we know you support us and we appreciate that!

As I begin my second year as President, I promise to bring renewed energy, focus, and commitment. I look forward to showing you the leader I know I can be and continuing to build an even stronger Women of Har Shalom together.

ROSH CHODESH GROUP HIKE

WEDNESDAY, JULY 15 at 9:30 AM

Join us for a hike on Wednesday July 15 at 9:30 AM for Rosh Chodesh Av. Our hike will take us to the lakes in Big Cottonwood Canyon. The hike is a moderately challenging 4 miles with 1000 ft elevation. Wildflowers should be in bloom! We’ll arrange carpools from the Jeremy park and ride. More details after you sign up. About Natalie: Natalie has been practicing law since 1999, with a focus on heart-centered estate planning. She is licensed in New York, Utah and Colorado and has lived in Park City, Utah since 1998. After working for various law firms and governmental agencies, Natalie and her husband founded their own law firm. She values helping clients in a small firm setting, often in the comfort of their homes. Natalie has served as Chairperson of the Board and a past member of the Advisory Committee for the Peace House, a nonprofit dedicated to helping women and children who are victims of domestic violence. She also helped create and support Mountain Mediation Center (mountainmediation.center), a low-cost mediation program in Summit County, Utah.  To RSVP click here.

We're thrilled to announce our very first artist-in-residence!

We've been invited to Shel's home to view a number of her original large-scale paintings. Stop by and get to know Shel as an artist and as a member of WHS. URGENT! THE SHOE SHELF AT PEACE HOUSE IS BARE - DONATE A PAIR OF SNEAKERS ASAP



WHS received a call a few days ago. Peace House let us know that their shoe shelf was completely empty. We sent the collected sneakers over, yet they still need more. When we help others in the community, we improve the lives of all in the community. You can help the women of Peace flip off their flip flops and settle into a new pair of sturdy sneakers.
