THE EGOPANTIS VIEW
Seeing is Believing Dept.
Your Innkeeper was routing around in the attic not long ago when she stumbled across the portrait of a lady - not the Henry James version, but a haunting rendition nonetheless...
We had long heard the tale of a beautiful singer & pianist who used the stage name "Stella G."
Born in Paris the late 1800s, she reportedly fled after a scandalous turn in her father's fortunes. She ended up in Boston and at some point, somehow, crossed paths with the Egopantis
here, at Bull Run.
Could this stained portrait found deep in the eaves be the lovely yet troubled Stella? We can't know just yet. But you can contemplate her mystery as the portrait now hangs high above our Ballroom bar, where she no doubt keeps Nigel, our resident ghost, company.
More to come as the Stella story unfolds!
