Donor Appreciation Dinner at River Highlands Ranch

On July 28th, 2023 we celebrated and recognized the impact and generosity of Habitat donors at River Highlands Ranch. With the continued and consistent support of Habitat donors from Fiscal Years 2020-2022, Nevada County Habitat for Humanity completed the final home at Heritage Oaks, began and completed the Park Place neighborhood, and rehabbed four homes. This generosity along with the dedication of our volunteers led to 17 people in our community having safe, decent, and permanent affordable housing. Read More

Homeowner Spotlight: Lanea

β€Š

We chatted with Lanea recently about homeownership and this is what she said:

ο»Ώ"It's empowering to own a home. If I can do this what else can I do? Anything!!!

I love it when my family stops by for a few minutes or just to hang out. We have had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas already. I actually love to clean my house! It feels so different to clean a home you own.

I want everyone who supports Habitat to know just how much you have all changed our lives and the future or my child's life for the better. She sees the hard work being put into building and keeping this home along with the determination of our community to help someone else. I am humbled and grateful! I am so blessed to have a home for my daughter Thank you all so very much!"

Volunteer Spotlight: Beale Air Force Base

"As a military spouse, I enjoy connecting service members to Habitat and introducing them to the ReStore. Both groups value service and community, it makes sense to work together. We look forward to their help with Street of Dreams and hope to continue working side by side through Habitat" says, Jenn Cordova, Development Director.

Thank You to the Service Members from Beale Air Force Base who kicked off their 4th of July weekend by volunteering at the ReStore.

ο»ΏAre you interested in volunteering? The ReStore is a great way to connect with your local Habitat.
