Enter Your Pets Into Petapalooza!
|
|
Your Pet Could Be Our 2022 Mascot!
Here’s a fun way to get your pet the recognition he/she deserves and make a difference in your industry.
Enter your pet into Petapalooza by July 30th and membership will vote our first ever mascot.
Not only will your pet become our 2022 Mascot, but he/she will make an appearance at our October 28th Annual Meeting and on various marketing pieces throughout 2022. How fun would it be to see your pet when you open an Association email?
Entrance fee is $50.00 per pet and will be credited toward your PAF contribution.* You will need to enter your NRDS# to enter your pet. If you do not know it, click here.
PAF allows the real estate family to effectively join together to raise funds for advocacy efforts at every level of government to push for and fight against issues that affect us all as real estate practitioners and as homeowners.
|
|
Members will vote their choice from August 10th- August 25th. ($15 per vote and each vote will be credited toward voter’s PAF contribution*).
The pet with the most votes will be showcased in the September newsletter.
ONLINE PAF AUCTION. Want to make additional PAF investments? You can participate in South Shore Realtors® September 18th – 25th PAF online auction. Pick up some great gifts for yourself or others while supporting your industry. More info to come on the auction.
*Contributions are not deductible for income tax purposes. Contributions to the National Association of Realtors Political Advocacy Fund (“NAR PAF”) are voluntary and are used for political purposes. You may refuse to contribute without reprisal. The NAR PAF utilizes funds to support legislative advocacy efforts, other political programs and related administrative costs.
Contributions to the Massachusetts Association of Realtors® Political Action Committee (Mass RPAC) are not deductible for State and Federal income tax purposes. Contributions to RPAC are voluntary and are used for political purposes. The National Association of REALTORS® and its state and local associations will not favor or disadvantage any member because of the amount contributed or a decision not to contribute. You may refuse to contribute without reprisal. 100% of each personal contribution up to $500 is used by Mass RPAC to support state and local candidates. Any amount over $500 is sent to National RPAC to support Federal candidates and is charged against your limits under 52 U.S.C. § 30116. State regulations limit contributions to $500 maximum per individual to MASS RPAC in any calendar year. Under both Federal and State Law only personal contributions (checks not drawn from corporate accounts) can be donated to RPAC. If you wish to pay with corporate funds, 100% of your contribution will be directed to NAR’s Political Advocacy Fund, which utilizes the funds to engage in other federal political activities.

Congratulations to South Shore Realtors® CEO Rachel Tristano for receiving the New England Society of Association Executive's (NE/SAE) Super Star Award!
The Super Star Award is given to a member who goes above and beyond in their volunteer service to NE/SAE by leading a project, recruiting and welcoming members, as well as exceptional Board, committee, or task force service within the organization.
Rachel got involved with NE/SAE in 2014 and has demonstrated her commitment by volunteering on the Finance Committee, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force, the Women’s CEO Group, and Chairing the Member Value Committee. Rachel strategically leads her staff and leadership into a new age of association management. Rachel has guided South Shore Realtors® to new heights through membership expansion and innovative non-dues revenue streams. Rachel is a steadfast promoter of NE/SAE, encouraging her employees to get involved in the organization. According to a colleague “Rachel is the epitome of all the NE/SAE Super Star Award encompasses. Passion, commitment, and positivity radiate from Rachel…she truly is an exemplary volunteer and leader”.

We want to express our gratitude to each and every one of the following 2021 Volunteers who helped carry out the Association's mission and strategic plan. Even during a pandemic, you all went above and beyond to think creatively to add value to your committees and task forces. YOU are the reason we have such a great Association.
We hope you'll all attend the July 22nd Jackie Leavenworth virtual event "Leading with Style." (see flyer below). It's free to our 2021 volunteers by calling 781-826-5139. It's our way to say thank you for all that you do. Non volunteers are invited to attend for $30.

FOOD DRIVES - Thank you for supporting the Community Outreach Task Force's Food Drives and showing that Realtors® & Affiliates care for those in our communities

Photo: Left, Delaney Welch daughter of Task Force Member Paula Welch (far right), with Task Force Member Kate Fisher (middle).
Task Force volunteers worked in 2 hours shifts outside the Halifax Walmart on Saturday, June 19th collecting Food for Halifax Helping Hands Food Pantry.
Thanks to generous shoppers, in four short hours, the Task Force delivered three completely packed SUV's worth of food donations to Halifax Helping Hands Food Pantry.

|
Photo: Left to right: Task Force member Kate Fisher, Food Pantry Representatives Sarah Sloat and Heidi Badot (in back) and Task Force member Colleen Fiumara unload donations at Helping Hands Food Pantry.
The Pantry was excited to receive the donations as their food supply has been low with the number of clients needing their services.
In May, at Stop&Shop in Somerset, the Task Force filled a large truck with food donations for the Fall River Community Food Pantry. We'll let you know where and when the next food drive will be.
|
|
On July 21st the Task Force will be hosting a virtual Summer Cooking for Charity Fundraiser to Benefit Habitat for Humanity of Greater Plymouth. Read more about it in the Education/Events section below. We hope you'll register to attend or make a donation.

NAR wants to quantify the impact Realtors® make as volunteers all across the country. For one year, they are asking you to count and log your volunteer hours at this page nar.realtor/rgn (can include volunteer hours from Nov. 2020 through Nov. 2021). Be sure to return periodically to update your hours. At the end 2021, NAR plans to announce the cumulative impact of this army of REALTORS® doing good.
