Connecting those who have served in Japan
The U.S. Japan-Alliance & Indo-Pacific Security Seminar
On October 30, JUMP and the Japan-America Society of Washington D.C. co-hosted the 5th Annual National War College Seminar about security contingencies for the U.S.-Japan alliance in the Indo-Pacific. With 165 attendees, the auditorium and atrium of Roosevelt Hall were packed with people who came to learn and network, despite the rain. With delicious catering and the hype leading up to Game 7 of the World Series, the event atmosphere was jovial. We at JUMP are grateful for all of our partners in helping pull this event off, and making it a great success. Also, Go Nats!

Marines Corps Officers Preparing to Leave for Japan
On November 7, JUMP participated in a send-off event hosted by the Defense Section of the Embassy of Japan. The event was thrown in honor of 21 Marine Corps officers who had graduated from The Basic School who will be stationed in Japan starting next year and 30 U.S. Naval Academy midshipmen. Many of them shared why they chose to go to Japan, and they had the opportunity to meet many JUMP members in Navy and Marine Corps leadership. Give them all a warm welcome if you see them!
