Becoming and staying physically fit and healthy is critical to succeeding in business and life. If you don't feel good, or if you're always tired, or sore, or have no energy, you'll never function at your optimal level. Being healthy is about the quality of life that you will gain. It is about having the ability to take part in the activities that you enjoy. Do you want to sit on sidelines of life because you are too sick and tired to join in? Or do you want to do the hard work and become healthy? You are your number one asset, you are worth it.

Now is the time to take control. Not next Monday, not after the holidays - now. Right at this very moment you can begin to make choices that will allow you to lead a healthier life. To begin, you need to discover your why.

Let's Truck is incredibly excited to introduce
Lauren Hixon
to the team!
Lauren has accepted a position as the NEW Destination Health Practitioner. She will be working directly with our tribe to help them improve their health and wellness and continue their education on their journey to health.
How did you become who you are?
Having grown up appreciating the outdoors and wild game fare, I completed my BA in Business and decided to follow my heart to California where I attended a Le Cordon Bleu culinary program. There, I honored my palate over my health. Learning French cooking preparations inevitably lead to a decline in my physical appearance and, most importantly, the way I felt. Knowing that fatigue and sluggish thinking should not be the norm, I sought out a nutrition program that steered away from fad dieting and focused on a diet that has been proven for thousands of years. As I advanced my sales and marketing career, I concurrently became a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner which wound up taking precedence over all else. I founded a small nutritional therapy practice, Sensibly Savage, which allowed me to work with clients to better their health. Wanting to reach a larger market and make a bigger difference, I joined the Let’s Truck team as a Destination Health Practitioner.
What are your passions?
Food, cooking, nutrition, pilates, the ocean - surfing, free diving, spearfishing, snowboarding.."

How difficult it is to find tasty food that's actually healthy for you unless you cook it yourself.

What do you see for the future Destination Health?

I see the future of Destination Health as a one-stop-shop for all nutrition needs. It's a place to learn about nutrition and find inspiration. Meal ideas, recipes, food prep, and one-on-one consults for those who need to dive deeper with a practitioner.

Heat Safety This Summer, By: Dr. Kris Hansen
The days are getting longer, and the temperatures are rising. Summer is just around the corner. After a long winter, we are excited to get outside and enjoy the warm, sunny days. But while our dogs love to do everything with us, we need to remember that they may not enjoy the heat as much. In fact, too much heat can be dangerous for dogs. It is vitally important that we understand how to prevent problems caused by heat, recognize signs of heat distress, and know how to help our dogs if they are suffering from overheating.

Big goals require commitment and focus. You don’t have time for the things that people with mediocre results spend their time on. There are things you have to be willing to give up. Fortunately, if you’re truly committed, these things are easy to avoid.

However, they can be great distractions if your commitment is lacking. Setting goals that excite you is tremendously helpful.

Be prepared to give up a few things if you want to accomplish big goals:
