Community Engagement

Ghilamichael Andemeskel, Steven Thompson, Michael Shaw, and Gary Blodger attended various men’s health retreats as well as the annual Soul Stroll Walk hosted by the Bay Area Community Health Advisory Council.

Black Men attending these events were given presentations on the importance of cancer screening, early detection, and quality care in our work to combat persisting cancer disparities. We also offered an array of clinic services (blood pressure, AC1 and colorectal cancer screenings) with our partners at Umoja Health at Soul Stroll.
