PRE-K TO GRADE 12

Make sure to check out our new resources on PBS Learning Media. "From Revolution To We The People" provides local materials for teaching the American Revolution.

Grades 6-12

We're excited to share that registration is now live for our upcoming PD event co-hosted with KQED for Grade 6-12 teachers, "From "Learners to Creators: Exploring The American Revolution Through Media-Making." The event is free and will be held virtually on Tuesday, September 29 from 7-9 pm ET. You can read the event description below:

Event Description: Discover how your students can connect the foundational principles of the American Revolution to their lives today by amplifying their knowledge through media-making. In this interactive workshop, participants will explore the resources from The American Revolution Classroom Collection on PBS LearningMedia and hear from a teacher whose students have created a media project for The American Revolution Youth Media Challenge. Participants will get hands-on, starting a model media project to learn how to create media in a classroom setting and will leave with a pathway to empower and share student voice beyond the classroom.

Science Trek topic for July:

Climate is the average course or condition of the weather usually over periods of years. Climate influences not only the clothes we wear, but the kind of plants we grow, the kinds of animals we see, the kind of houses we live in, and the ways that people work and play. Learn more about climate.

And join Evie and Garrett as scientists answer students' questions about the topic of the month: Climate!
