We see a hungry child. We buy food. We feed the child.
Due to school closures,The Children’s Hunger Project in partnership with Brevard Public Schools ensured children would be fed while they were unable to go to school. With the help of amazing partners and volunteers, we were able to feed more children than ever before during the pandemic. With small group weekly packing events and food distribution at schools, TCHP has:

  • Provided 56,000 weekend food packages for hungry children up to age 18.

  • Recruited and organized over one thousand food packing and distribution volunteers.

  • TCHP Volunteers logged more than 3,500 hours preparing and providing weekend food packages at all school distribution sites.

  • TCHP also provided food packages for local partner organizations to include Students in Transition, Cocoa and Melbourne PAL, Brevard Cares, Boys and Girls Clubs, and Club Esteem.
