Lorain County JVS Superintendent Dr. Glenn Faircloth is excited about all the district's activities during the fall season. He also reflects on what JVS is thankful for.
JVS Commemorates Manufacturing Month!
During the month of October, Lorain County JVS participated in a number of events celebrating Manufacturing Month including panel discussions featuring some of our alumni.
Adult Welding Students Shaping Their Futures
As the JVS celebrated Manufacturing Month in October, Adult Career Center students are preparing for a brighter future in the manufacturing industry by enrolling in the Welding/Fabrication program. 
First Adult Diploma Program Graduate
Shanika Easter of Sheffield Lake has become the first student at the Lorain County JVS Adult Career Center to receive a high school diploma through the state Adult Diploma Program (ADP). Easter was recently presented her high school diploma and State Tested Nursing Assistant Certification.

Allied Health Students Participate in Mock Drill
The Allied Health Sciences junior students put their first aid and safety skills to the test in a mock disaster drill scenario. Students had to assist patients at different stations who had suffered injuries and trauma from a "big boom" mock disaster at the school.  
JVS Math Teacher
Donates to Wigs for Kids
Dayna Kreilach, a senior cosmetology student from Avon Lake, had the privilege of cutting JVS Math Instructor Sarah Avers’ hair for a donation to Wigs for Kids. Kreilach cut off 12 inches from Avers hair for the donation, all for a good cause!

JVS Poinsettia Sale Coming Soon!
Students from the Lorain County JVS Landscape and Greenhouse Management Program are hosting their holiday wreath and poinsettia sale at the JVS Greenhouse, beginning November 27. Poinsettia prices range from $3.50 to $10.50 depending on size. The greenhouse will be open for sales 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. and noon to 1:30 p.m., Mondays through Fridays through December 13 or when they sell out.
