We are including plenty of positive activities and highlights! We even have an Alumni Spotlight! 2017-2018
A New Year - A New Vision!
Superintendent Glenn Faircloth is excited about a new school year, which includes a new mission, vision and core beliefs for the school district as 2017-2018 is underway. Dr. Faircloth says the new components will guide everything we do in the district as we prepare to construct a five year strategic plan.
JVS Commemorates 911 Patriot's Day
The Lorain County JVS held a Patriot Day Ceremony at the school’s 9/11 Memorial on Monday, September 11th. High School Principal, Jill Petitti welcomed the JVS faculty, staff and community members who were present. 
JVS Interns Earn $260,000 Over Summer
Eighty students successfully completed the 2017 Lorain County JVS Summer Internship Program earning over $260,000. A total of 62 different companies employed interns over the summer providing mentoring and valuable opportunities for students to practice the technical skills they learned at JVS in a work-based learning environment.
Adult Career Center Dir. Builds on JVS Experience
Kristian Smith is a familiar face around Lorain County JVS. Once wearing a chef’s hat in the culinary department as an instructor, he is now dawning another hat and role, as the new Director of the JVS Adult Career Center. With fall adult classes underway, Smith’s excitement and energy is contagious! 
Adult Diploma Students Getting A Fresh Start
With fall classes underway at the JVS Adult Career Center, 13 students are taking advantage of the state Adult Diploma Program now offered on campus. The program is free to adults who are over 22 years old, living in Ohio and do not have a high school diploma or a GED.

JVS Is Celebrating Manufacturing Month!
Lorain County JVS is celebrating National Manufacturing Month during the month of October. Activities have been planned throughout the month at JVS, as well as other events with our partners, designed to showcase the many career related opportunities for high school students and adults.

Greg Mezey '04
Greg Mezey wanted a head start. A head start in the culinary arts industry and for college. Lorain County JVS was where he found a home, a foundation, and his head start.
