In honor of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we are highlighting a Transitions to Work (TTW) graduate, Blessing W.

Blessing is not only thriving in her role at Spaulding Rehab - as highlighted in this recent Chronicle 5 segment - but she has even referred her friends and family to train with JVS and find employment at Spaulding as well!

Blessing’s success is a reminder that JVS’s industry focused transition services can have exponential impacts on the individuals, families, communities, and employer partners.

In the midst of a very tight job market, attracting and retaining the best workforce is more important than ever. Join us on Monday, November 8th at 12 PM to learn how job quality can keep employers competitive in their field and enable workers to attain economic stability and contribute to a thriving economy.

Our panel will be comprised of experts including Meghan Cummings, Sarah Kalloch and JVS's own VP of Employer Engagement Mandy Townsend.

Each speaker will offer their perspective on job quality and the current labor market, followed by an employer panel about how to become and the benefits of being a Quality Employer and a collection of JVS client voices on what makes a job a quality job.

Directly after the forum, we will be launching our 10-Day Job Quality Challenge!
Re-Opening of 75 Federal Street
The JVS office at 75 Federal Street is now open on a limited basis. We are offering select services in person and most programs continuing remotely through the end of 2021.

Our office will be following CDC guidelines and requiring both staff and clients masked in all public spaces.

On October 20th, Boston City Councilor Ed Flynn visited the JVS office to congratulate Jerry on his retirement and present him with a Letter of Citation from Mayor Kim Janey for his years of service to the City of Boston.
