As the year draws to an end, we want to say a big thank you to everyone who supported the JWA this year. The JWA had a fantastic year with so many fun and enriching activities. We can proudly say that we truly were a catalyst that brought together women from all different parts of the community, as well as our families and community members.
We strengthened our relationships with local charities and have been able to give our community members a 'donation vehicle' that allows them to donate to a specific JWA beneficiary in honor or in memory of someone special.
If you would like to make a donation in honor of a loved one, please contact us.
Moreover, we are proud to say we reached our fundraising goals and will thus be able to support our partner organizations and beneficiaries that depend so much on us. Reaching our goal is a testament to you in the Hong Kong Jewish Community for your support and continued generosity.
As we do every year, we invite you all to visit the projects we support in Israel this summer (details are below). This is an amazing opportunity to see all of your support in action and is truly a life-changing experience. Don't miss it. Join us!!
As this will be our last Newsletter before the summer, please mark the date in your calendars for the
JWA Annual General Meeting on
August 30th at the
If you are away from Hong Kong this summer, travel safely and we will see you back in home in August.
Wishing you all Happy Chag Shavuot and a wonderful summer!

Highlights from the Month of May
Breast Cancer Awareness Talk
The JWA invited JWA Board member Amy Tadelis and Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation's Grace Chung to give a groundbreaking talk to more than 50 domestic helpers at the JCC. With a powerful presentation including video, demonstration and a question and answer session about Breast Cancer prevention advice. Women learned the value of self-examination, exercise, nutrition and resources available through the HKBCF in Hong Kong, while enjoying fruit, muffins, coffee and tea.

This Talk was so successful and received such positive feedback that the JWA plans to do another Pink Talk in October during Pink Month.
JWA in the City
Women from 7 different countries gathered for the "JWA in the City" Farewell Drink at Isola Bar. HKG veterans and newbies met and mingled, ate and toasted, and connected before friends part ways before the summer.
