Lynn Rehabilitation Center for The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis at UHealth/Jackson Memorial is nationally ranked among the top 5 percent of hospitals in the nation as a premier rehab facility in the prestigious "Best Hospitals for Rehabilitation" list for 2023-2024. The team at Lynn Rehabilitation Center is honored to have achieved this esteemed ranking - a testament to the exceptional expertise in care for patients recovering from stroke, spinal cord injuries, and more. Around the world, Jackson is known for saving lives. At the state-of-the-art rehabilitation center, they go further: they give patients back their lives.

Because of our generous donors, The Lynn Rehabilitation Center was designed from scratch to be one of the country's elite facilities providing patients access to world-class technology designed to accelerate their recovery. Our state-of-the-art equipment supports the best possible outcomes for patients and families, and it was made possible because of you.

At 23, Leduar Rivera's life changed forever when he was in a near-fatal car crash. He was rushed to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Center with a cervical spinal cord injury that resulted in a partial loss of sensation from the neck down. A team of surgeons stabilized him and prepped him for emergency surgery, which included a procedure to fuse his spine, preventing further paralysis. Rivera was then transferred to Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center for The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis at UHealth/Jackson Memorial. At first, he could not raise his arms over his head or open his hands. Throughout the next year, Rivera regained movement in his upper extremities. Now, he lives an independent life. "Without Jackson, I wouldn't be where I'm at." Rivera said.
