Why Are We Hosting A Car Show?…To Share The Compassion and Peace of Christ!

"Because that is what we have done before” seems like a good answer...but let me give you more to consider. We are exploring ways we can engage our community 'where they are’ in order to begin and/or strengthen relationships! Every great relationship requires a time of courtship. Our prayer is to connect with more people in our community in order to have the joy, one day, of sharing the compassion and peace of Christ with them. If done well, this will take time and a little bit of trial and error. The car show will also be an opportunity for us to raise funds for the CERF house ministry in a fun way!

In addition to the car show, we are partnering with the Butts County Chamber of Commerce to provide breakfast for the teachers and administrators in all 5 public schools this next week. We also served a delicious home cooked meal to the football and cheerleading teams recently and will soon begin mentoring with Stark Elementary students. Again, we are exploring ways to begin and/or strengthen relationships with our community. I hope you will join me in both asking and answering the “why” question as we embark on an active fall season of activities like our car show, pumpkin patch, side walk sale, trunk-or-treat and BBQ fundraiser. May God bless our desire to develop these new relationships filled with the compassion and peace of Christ!

Wednesday Night Dinners                          

Join us for dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday Night Dinner Menu: BBQ Chicken, Black-eyed Peas, Baked Sweet    Potatoes, Slaw, Rolls and Dessert. Option: Baked Herb Chicken. Free for children and youth. $5 for adults dine in. $6 for adult takeout. $3 for 80 and over dine in. $4 for 80 and over takeout. You won't be disappointed; it's   delicious!
