JACKSONVILLE RECEIVES AWARDS

The City of Jacksonville won a 2021 TML Municipal Excellence Award in public works in the under 25,000 population for the City of Jacksonville Water Modernization Project.
The 2021 Texas Municipal League Municipal Excellence Awards recognize and encourage the achievements of Texas cities in meeting the challenge of municipal government. Innovative problem-solving, excellence in management, increasing citizen participation, and reaching toward higher service levels are all daily occurrences in Texas cities, and they deserve recognition.
This awards program seeks out the best of these programs to honor. It is through the recognition of the best of the best that all Texas cities share and learn from these achievements.

On October 20, 2021, the City of Jacksonville received the International 2021, 50 Smart Cities Award in Washington DC for the Jacksonville Water Modernization Project.
Smart 50 Awards, in partnership with Smart Cities Connect, Smart Cities Connect Foundation, and US Ignite, annually recognize global smart cities projects, honoring the most innovative and influential work.

National Night Out 2021 was a huge success! The police department did an amazing job with this event that brought over 3,500 people from the community together in one place to enjoy food, fellowship, music, and awesome performances!

JEDCO has awarded Plastics Holding, Inc. the Employer of the month award for October 2021. The nursery supplies manufacturer recently completed a building expansion and is currently gearing up for 24/7 operations. We appreciate their investment and wish them future success!
