2023 at SA is off to a fantastic start! In the above video, hear from Mrs. Fowler on what she is most looking forward to in the year ahead. She is excited for a year of joyful learning (like this snapshot above of Mrs. Deal with second grade students!) and so much more.

Up next, priority enrollment for SA families officially begins tomorrow. Look for information to be mailed to you this week with additional details. Deposits are due by Feb. 14, and early birds have an opportunity to enter a raffle for tuition discounts! Families who submit deposits by Jan. 31 will be entered into a raffle for a $1,000 tuition credit for 2023-24. Families who submit deposits by Feb. 14 will be entered for a chance to win a $750 tuition credit for 2023-24. Winners will be shared in Jag Weekly!

Parenting Kind Kids: The impact of a culture of kindness on the school community

In a world that often prioritizes competition over kindness, children must understand the importance of creating a culture of kindness and the role that they can play in their school and community. Licensed Mental Health Counselor and SA parent Amanda Faggart, MS, LCMHC, NCC, will share the cultural challenges children face today and how we as parents and role models can teach, model, and help develop kindness in our children while reducing their anxiety and insecurities.

30th Anniversary T-Shirt Design Contest: Stay tuned

In celebration of SA's 30th year, students of all grades will be invited to design a 30th anniversary t-shirt that will be distributed at no cost to all SA students! Details on the T-shirt design contest will be shared in next week's Jag Weekly. Stay tuned!

Opportunity Scholarship Info Zoom on Jan. 24 at 7 p.m.

SA families are invited to join Kwan Graham, Director of Community Engagement at Parents for Educational Freedom in North Carolina, via Zoom on Tuesday, January 24 at 7 p.m. to learn more about the NCSEAA Opportunity Scholarship.

The Opportunity Scholarship is a program that helps families who make below a certain amount of income pay tuition and fees.

Families who utilize ASK on a daily basis are encouraged to sign up for our Monthly ASK program! The next cycle runs Feb. 1 - May 31. Families of students who participate in ASK daily will enjoy a savings of over $200 for this Feb. - May cycle.
