Booster Club Shoot-a-thon

We're in the final stretch of the SA Booster Club Shoot-a-thon fundraiser! All proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the athletic department to purchase new uniforms and equipment. Pledges are being accepted through tomorrow, March 18. The Shoot-a-thon will take place during students' PE classes on March 19 or 20. Thank you for your support!

How it works:

*First, students ask for pledges from neighbors, friends, or fans using this link.

*Next, each student will be given 3 minutes to shoot as many shots as possible.

*The number of shots made multipled by the pledge amount will be the donation total.

*Pledge invoices will be emailed after the event.

Note: In lieu of a pledge amount, a one-time donation to the Shoot-a-thon can be made in your student's honor using the Shoot-a-thon link.

Student Incentives

Uniform passes are being given to all students who get one pledge or more. Additionally, the class with the most pledges by the end of the day on March 18 will receive an extra PE class with Coach Wilson. The class will even get to choose what game to play in that class.

SA Talent Show on April 11

Calling all Jaguar performers! The SA Talent Show will take place during chapel time on Thursday, April 11 at 9:15 a.m. If your child would like to participate, please email Lizzy Roy by April 4 with the following information: Student name/grade, parent name, talent, and song (if applicable).

Students in first through eighth grade may participate. Students may participate individually or as a group. Each student may perform one talent in the show. All acts are to be roughly two minutes or shorter.

There will be a mandatory practice after school the week of April 8 (Mon., Tues., or Wed.). The date for the mandatory practice will be finalized once all student acts are submitted so that we can work around after-school activities. Please plan for your child to provide a full dress rehearsal performance on that day.

Lost and Found

The SA Lost and Found is once again full of layering clothing, water bottles, and other items. Please have your child check the table for any belongings that they may be missing. Thank you!

Kindergarten Students Explore and Grow in Literacy Centers

Literacy centers take place each morning in the kindergarten classroom and provide wonderful opportunities for small-group instruction and creativity. During center time, students work on handwriting and fine motor skills, group reading, writing and drawing, concept review from recent topics, and creative projects. This week, students had fun with St. Patrick's Day-themed centers in which they built leprechaun traps and wrote and drew pictures of the different kinds of treasures (pets, candy, and more!) that they hoped to find at the end of the magical rainbow.
