Jag Weekly
Week of April 19, 2020
|
|
Hello Jaguars! If you're comfortable with it, the SA team would like to stop by your house this week and drop off a goody bag for your family. We will leave the bag on your porch/outside the front door.
We will be wearing gloves and masks while packing/delivering. If you'd prefer that we don't drop off a bag, please let
Mrs. Doby know. Thanks!

Celebrating Earth Day as a School Community
|
Dear SA Families,
Time spent outdoors is wonderful for staying active, getting fresh air, and making connections with nature, especially during times when we are experiencing change and perhaps some feelings of worry or anxiety. During the past few weeks a highlight for me has been regular walks outside, whether in a wild place like a forest trail or simply enjoying a walk around the neighborhood.
With Earth Day coming up this week on April 22, I invite you to join me in making it a full Earth Week by getting outside and showing appreciation for our planet! In the Jag Weekly Upcoming Dates you'll find some suggestions of outdoor connections or environmental activities that we can do as families in the week ahead.
Salisbury Academy is honored to be an NC Green School of Excellence and a community that uplifts environmentalism in our culture, curriculum, stewardship, and the care of our school facilities. In many ways, every day is Earth Day for the Jaguars!
Wishing everyone a fun week ahead filled with laughter and fresh air.
Warm Regards,
Mrs. Fowler
, Head of School
A Note:
As you get outside or show your appreciation for nature, we'd love to see! Please email your pictures to
Mrs. Roy
so that we can celebrate Earth Day as a school community.

Unused Lunch Credits: A message from Mrs. Gokey
|
|
|
Pictured: Mrs. Gokey on Wacky Tacky Day of Spirit Week 2020. Nobody loves to dress up quite as much as Mrs. Gokey!
Dear SA Families:
I hope you are all staying well. I miss seeing and interacting with the kids- always the best part of my day! For those families who had ordered and paid for lunches the last two weeks of March, and some who had also paid for their April order, we can do one of two things. We can either use that credit toward your child’s lunch order when school resumes in August, or we can issue you a check to refund your unused lunches.
|
|
Please contact me by email at
[email protected] to obtain your balance and to let me know how you wish to handle the unused lunch credits.
There are also a few families who still owe a balance for lunches that were not paid for prior to spring break. I plan to email those families soon to arrange for payment.
Please tell your children that I look forward to seeing them again and I’m sorry that we didn’t get to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day or Easter together. I will make it up to them!!
Thanks,
Valerie and Mark Habeeb, Habeeb Catering
