Eighth Grade's Culinary Experience
The world as our classroom! In eighth grade's adventure to the Heart of Salisbury yoga, wellness, and arts studio, students prepared and enjoyed a fresh, delicious meal. Students then went home to recreate the culinary experience for their families: a mixed green salad with homemade ranch, garlic smashed roasted potatoes, rustic Mediterranean chicken with herbs, and key lime parfaits. Yum!! Students so enjoyed this time together off campus and learned many helpful kitchen tips. Note: To maintain proper spacing, half of the eighth grade went on this first outing. The second half of the class will enjoy this experience this week!

Outdoor Pavilion Construction at SA
Thanks to early generous donations by family and friends of Salisbury Academy, the new outdoor pavilion is under construction and will be a beautiful addition to our outdoor learning and play area. This new structure adds much-needed space that students can use for an outdoor classroom, dining location, a space for PE on days when the weather is a challenge, and a future gathering site for fun community events hosted at SA. We would like to thank Brad Williams, Jon Palmer, Graham Roofing, Mid Carolina Electrical, and Carolina Curbing for their partnership in making this happen. Please contact the SA development office [email protected] if you would like to help support this new space for our students.

SA's Got Talent! Submit your acts by this Tuesday for the April 15 show
The SA Talent Show will take place in digital format and welcomes acts from all students, JK through 8. The Talent Show will be shared on SA social media (and will be enjoyed by students in school in place of our weekly chapel) on the morning of Thursday, April 15. Video files of student acts must be submitted to Mrs. Roy by Tuesday of this week, April 6.
Submission Details and Video Length
Students are limited to one act each and will submit a 1-minute video clip of their act. A tip: Film your child's video in landscape format (with the smart phone on its side) so that your video fills up the entire screen when presented on a computer or TV.
1-minute video submissions may be submitted to Mrs. Roy at [email protected]. In your email, please include a description: student's name, grade, talent (ex: karate, dance, singing), and name of musical piece/artist if applicable. Options for sharing the 1-minute video files include wetransfer.com, Dropbox, and Google Drive. Mrs. Roy is happy to assist you when you get to that step or if you have any other questions along the way!
