Fifth and sixth grade students thought critically about human impacts on the environment in this week's presentation by Horizons Unlimited. After discussing oil spills and the challenges of cleaning them up, the classes conducted their own oil experiments. Students then broke into pairs to solve human impact scenarios and finished the presentation by meeting a snake and learning about human impacts on the snake habitat.

Spirit Week Fun and Our #SAConnected Community
Pictured here, Mrs. Fowler shows her silly side on Wacky Tacky Day of SA Spirit Week!
Dear Parents:
While this year has come with its many adaptations and challenges, a great number of the joys of learning together have endured. SA Spirit Week is a shining example of this! What fun it has been to laugh and cheer together for the creative and colorful outfits students and staff have worn this week. Our students in distance learning got in on the fun as well! Thank you to our school community for your continued commitment and positivity and for your super showing of school spirit over SA Spirit Week 2021.
Warm Regards,
Beverly Fowler, Head of School

Re-Enrollment and Our SA Journey: The Miller Family Shares
SA Parent Vincia Benjamin Miller shares about her family's SA journey:
"The tireless work of Salisbury Academy's teachers and staff has made my kindergartner's experience simply amazing. Madison's first year has included social distancing, wearing a mask, and a number of other adaptions; however, the team at SA made sure that her learning remained creative, innovative, and relevant."
"The administration and teachers at SA make us feel that we are not just parents and students, but we are truly family; that has been a bright light in this pandemic. Through their efforts to ensure some form of normalcy, I feel that SA has exceeded the expectations that I had set as a parent. I am forever grateful for SA, a shining school on a hill that truly is student-centered."
