A pumpkin dissection lab in the third grade yielded interesting finds! Students counted the number of seeds in their pumpkins and compared that number with the weight and circumference of the pumpkin. To further apply the data collected, students then calculated the difference between their number of seeds and a classmate's number using different subtraction strategies that they have learned.

What are students most excited about learning right now, and what are their favorite parts of each day at SA? Hear from our third, fourth, and seventh grade students! Some subjects and units are crowd favorites, other favorites are unique, and some students, well, they just can't pick a favorite because they love them all!
ASK Begins Next Week
Dear Families,

We're pleased to be able to bring back our after-school ASK programming for grades JK through 8 as of Monday, November 9! Students who participate will be outside as much as possible and are asked to please bring a snack along with appropriate layers for cooler weather.

ASK hours of operation will run from school dismissal until 5:30 p.m. With questions, or if you plan to utilize ASK, please email me.
