Welcome New Staff Member Brooke Baucom
Brooke Baucom, Front Desk Administrator
Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Brooke Baucom to our Salisbury Academy team as our front desk administrator. In response to Mrs. Peoples' desire to spend more time caring for her parents, we have adjusted our front office responsibilities. We are grateful to keep Mrs. Peoples on our team to oversee the building and grounds needs that she has years of experience managing, and we appreciate her availability to assist Mrs. Baucom in her new role.
Originally from Salisbury, Mrs. Baucom graduated from the Cabarrus College of Health Science and has practiced pediatric and geriatric occupational therapy for 11 years. She and her husband Casey have two girls at Salisbury Academy, Cam (JK) and Brenna (1st). In her free time Mrs. Baucom enjoys spending time with family and friends and boating on High Rock Lake.
SA Annual Fund: Why We Give
What's your reason for supporting the SA Annual Fund? The Jackson family shares theirs:
"From our first visit to the JK classroom to now having a second-grader, we have experienced first hand the love of learning that Salisbury Academy instills in its students. SA promotes an environment which fosters and encourages growth, and this makes it easy to support the Annual Fund of this school that we value so very much."

Veterans Day Chapel 2020
Salisbury Academy celebrated Veterans Day this week in a virtual chapel led by eighth grade students. An alumnus from the inaugural Salisbury Academy first grade class in 1993, U.S. Coast Guard veteran Ben Fisher delivered the key message on stewardship and its role in his time at Salisbury Academy, in the military, and in our day-to-day lives. Enjoy the presentation above. Thank you veterans!

Note for November-December Lunches:
If you plan to sign your child up for pasta days, please specify whether your child would like alfredo or meat sauce on each day by circling their choice on the menu. This will be helpful as we plan for portions. Thanks so much!

PSA Staff Christmas Gift
Staff Christmas Gift Fund - an all-in-one holiday gift!
Now through Friday, December 4, PSA will be collecting voluntary donations toward a Christmas Gift Fund for the teachers and staff members of Salisbury Academy. We all know how difficult it can be to find just the right gift for each teacher, so, to make your life a bit easier, you can show your appreciation to the entire staff in ONE CHECK!
PSA will pool all the money received and deliver Christmas cheer to each
teacher and staff member. Please make your check payable to "Salisbury Academy-PSA" and write "PSA Staff Gift" in the memo section. Tracey Peoples will accept the checks at the front desk, or you may send in an envelope with your child with "PSA Staff Gift" on the front. A note with names of all contributing families will accompany each staff gift. Thanks so much, and happy holidays!
