Fourth grade students are studying the Middle Ages and kicked off their lessons on the Battle of Hastings and the progression of medieval weapons with some outdoor archery! Students took turns aiming at pictures of turkeys (a favorite medieval meal) with suction cup-tipped arrows.

See You at the Pole
See You at the Pole (SYATP) is a student-led, global movement uniting students around the world in prayer. This year the annual event celebrates its 30th year.

Although Salisbury Academy's SYATP event looked different this year as we were unable to gather in prayer as a school community around the flag pole, thanks to representatives from our eighth grade we were able to come together as a school in a virtual SYATP gathering on Wednesday morning. Eighth grade students James, Landon, Ashley, Lucy, Warren, and Hank led the school community in prayers for our nation, state, city, school, and students, and they finished by leading SA's students and teachers in saying the Salisbury Academy Prayer for Each Day. Thanks to Dr. Rob for providing the musical inspiration for the virtual event. Enjoy the 5-minute virtual SYATP video above!
SA Annual Fund: Why I support each year
Pictured here, Mrs. Starrett lesson plans at night with her youngest son on her lap.
5th and 6th Grade Math and Science Teacher Mrs. Kelli Starrett shares:

"I choose to support the SA Annual Fund each year because our school truly inspires a love of learning. Years ago, before I became a part of the SA family, my husband and I committed to sending our future children to this awesome place. We could see the value of the education that Salisbury Academy provides even before we were parents and before I joined this phenomenal team of teachers."

"Since becoming a teacher here in 2018, my reason to give is two-fold: I often think how incredibly blessed I am to have a job that is meaningful and that I love. How awesome it is to wake up every day excited to go to work! And some day, not too long from now, we'll have the joy of experiencing SA as parents."
