100 Reasons over the Next 100 Days
Dear Salisbury Academy Parents,

This week we are excited to launch our Annual Fund campaign with a combined goal of $85,000. As our primary development effort, the Annual Fund is designed to keep tuition affordable while bridging the gap between tuition and the actual cost of a Salisbury Academy education.

To achieve our goal and support the engaging programming that makes the SA experience so unique, we ask every family to make a personally meaningful gift to the Annual Fund. No gift is too large or too small, and participation matters. Our faculty, staff, and board of trustees have a long history of 100% participation rates. It is important for parent participation to reach those numbers as well, as your participation is a direct reflection of our school community's investment as we seek external donors and funding from grants.

This year's theme, "100 Reasons Why," gives us all a chance to reflect on the many meaningful offerings of and components to a Salisbury Academy education. Look for information in weekly folders and for a campaign launch email early this week. Thank you for your support and for making our SA community a strong one!

Sincerely,

Beverly Fowler, Head of School

Meet This Year's Middle School Advisory Groups
Middle School Division Director Mrs. Goodman shares:

Designed to strengthen relationships and connectedness among middle school students and their teachers across different grades, Salisbury Academy's middle school advisory program brings students in grades sixth through eighth together in small groups  for weekly meetings and lunches. In addition to the scheduled meetings, advisory groups build camaraderie through service outreach, team-building challenges, and the "drafting" of fifth-graders to join advisory groups each spring.

At a typical middle school advisory meeting at Salisbury Academy, advisors and advisees discuss everything from goal setting to schoolwork, to the ups and downs of life in general. Each quarter advisees begin a new round of goal setting, with advisors serving as check-in points for students as they progress through their goals. Advisors also provide key support for students as they prepare their spring Reflections projects in which they reflect on their growth over the course of the school year.
